In the vibrant month of March, myriad flowers bloom in unison. The 113th International Women’s Day has arrived as scheduled. To showcase the spirit of women in the new era, unite their strength, and honor their contributions, Rongyao Bio organized a day trip to Shenxianju for all its female employees. This event inspired the women to contribute their unique strengths to Rongyao Bio’s high-quality development.
The first stop on the itinerary is Shenxianju, known as the “First City of Mist and Glow.” Here, every mountain and stream, every cliff and cave, every rock and peak boasts its own unique character. As you climb to the summit and gaze out, you can’t help but marvel at nature’s breathtaking artistry—the sheer beauty of these extraordinary peaks and peculiar rocks.
At dawn, accompanied by the melodious chirping of birds, we crossed the Ruyi Bridge at Shenxianju. The entire bridge was bathed in mist and clouds, its pristine white form appearing and disappearing like a delicate, warm, and jade-like ruyi scepter. Standing atop the bridge, we couldn’t help but feel the poetic sentiment: “I long to ride the wind and return to the heavens, yet I fear the palaces of crystal and jade—how chilling it must be up there!”
Having taken in the mountain scenery, we continued our descent, passing a massive boulder that stands facing south, its shape eerily resembling a human face. Only after reading the interpretive sign did we learn that this rock is called “General Rock.” For a century it has stood tall, guarding the tranquil sanctuary of the Immortals’ Retreat. A few hundred meters further on, at the entrance to an old-fashioned courtyard, elegant magnolias are in full bloom. Their quiet, serene blossoms seem unfazed by praise or scorn, gracefully enjoying their own solitary beauty in this peaceful forest setting—yet the arrival of visitors has infused the mountain landscape with a lively, bustling atmosphere.
In the afternoon, we visited Gaodian Ancient Village, which was first built during the Yuan Dynasty. Designated as a Famous Historical and Cultural Village of China and one of the first batch of National Traditional Villages, the village boasts time-honored, exquisitely crafted traditional architecture. With its meticulously planned layout and remarkably well-preserved structures, Gaodian is renowned far and wide for its exquisite stone, wood, and brick carvings.
Strolling through this tranquil village, the soaring red lanterns, weathered ancient walls, and rustic cobblestone paths exude an air of timelessness, inviting visitors to savor the serene essence of this historic hamlet. Pausing to look up or gaze intently, one can appreciate the exquisite artistry of woodcarvings and stone sculptures within this intimate space—moments of quiet contemplation that offer a fleeting respite from life’s hustle and bustle, allowing one to reflect on the graceful journey of existence.
